It’s true! Online Storytime with Miss Heather starts tomorrow, Friday, April 3 at 10am! We’ll have stories, songs, and movement, and it’s interactive! Please make sure you have some room to move and some paper and crayons. Here’s the link to join: https://us04web.zoom.us/j/968216008
You can choose whether to have your video cam and microphone on or not – either way, you’ll be able to see and hear Miss Heather from the comfort of your own home!

In response to the Schoharie County COVID-19 Business Impact Survey, SEEC Associates have scoured the internet, sourced trade associations, government agencies and banking experts to present the latest and most credible information to help organizations and professionals BEST manage their business through this COVID-19, world pandemic crisis. Not only will business owners and not-for-profit leaders find resources here – so, too, will creative professionals, independent contractors, crafters and farmers.

The Board of Trustees of the Schoharie Free Library have decided to CLOSE the library to the public until further notice. All programs and activities are cancelled. Overdue fines will not be charged. Interlibrary loans will not be filled. The Drop Box is closed; please hold on to your items to be returned until the Library has re-opened. The free WiFi is on and accessible from outside the building. Please check out the Online Resources page for links to activities for everyone. Ebooks, eAudiobooks, and eMagazines can still be borrowed, and watch our Facebook page for information about joining a virtual Knitcetera, Writing Club, or Books & Chocolate meeting (email jmosher@mvls.info for instructions).

We have compiled a list of links to pages & sites for educational/entertainment purposes. Now includes myOn digital reading resources, and free access to TumbleBooks eBooks! Hope you find something you can use! Remember, the physical Library is still CLOSED until at least Monday March 30th, but our WiFi is still freely available, eBooks and eAudiobooks can be borrowed thru Libby. All programs and events are cancelled. Please keep all library materials until after we are open again; fines are NOT being charged.

The Board of Trustees of the Schoharie Free Library have decided to CLOSE the library to the public for the next 2 weeks. All programs and activities are cancelled. Overdue fines will not be charged. Interlibrary loans will not be filled. The Drop Box is closed; please hold on to your items to be returned until the Library has re-opened.
The situation will be reassessed as events warrant.

From the InterLibrary Loan System Staff as of 3/12/20: “Please be advised that you may experience extended wait times for requested library items due to staffing issues or library closures in the coming weeks as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
We will be removing soft, not easily-cleanable toys from the Children’s Play Area for the duration to cut down on the possibility of spreading it.
If you are sick, PLEASE STAY HOME! If anyone comes in with symptoms and appears to be ill, you will be asked to leave.

Thank you to all who filled out the Library Survey; the results will help us make decisions about the Library’s future.
To address a few issues that were mentioned in your comments:

As we plan for the future, the Schoharie Library needs to know what you think about our services: what you like, what you think could be improved, what new thing you’d like us to add. Here’s a link to the LIBRARY SURVEY . Each person in your household can take the survey separately, and the more answers the better! Please take a few minutes, and help aim us in the right direction as we move forward.
Printed copies will be available at the Library.
Thank you!
Catherine Caiazzo, Director
The Board of Trustees
